Samuel James Johnson Pleads Not Guilty

Samuel James Johnson, White Supremacist (Austin Daily Herald)

AUSTIN — A white supremacist from Austin accused of amassing several weapons and hundreds of rounds of ammunition as part of a plan to attack the government and minorities pleaded not guilty in U.S. District Court last month and has a trial scheduled for July 16.
Samuel James Johnson, 31, pleaded not guilty to five felony charges for an armed career criminal in possession of firearms and ammunition on April 26.
Johnson allegedly also tried to recruit others to his cause and actively scouted for a training compound in Illinois and Minnesota, according to a federal affidavit unsealed last month. Johnson is still in jail.
The indictments said Johnson has prior convictions for armed crimes and is not allowed to have weapons, but from late 2010 through late last year he was found with five weapons — including a semi-automatic assault rifle — and more than 1,000 rounds of ammunition.
I don't know why the Albert Lea Tribune chose not to run this man's photo. I don't know why they are failing to show people the most ridiculous thing about the man, which is any one of a number of things worth mocking. It could be his sad ideology, his apparent self-hate, his bald skin head, his inability to care for his dog, his trust of a Federal agent, his ample gut or his ridiculous sleeve of tattoos.

If you're going to tout the white race, at least try to not look like you rolled out of Dunkin Donuts with a cruller in your cheek and with someone's notion of ink art on your heil Hitler arm.

Yes, you have to jail these people. But mocking them is what drives them around the bend. Mocking their tough guy attitude and their weaselly threats of violence denies them the mystique they crave.
