They love predatory capitalism in Albert Lea, apparently.
The thing that has added to the overall suckiness of places like Albert Lea is this notion that the wholesale destruction of companies, the shedding of their workers, and the use of their assets as bargaining chips is a good thing. It really isn't, not in our system and not for the overall economic health of the United States.
Bain Capital did not do these things in order to reorder industries or infuse new energy into new markets. Bain Capital did this without regard to anything other than profit. Capitalism is, by its definition, the pursuit of profit, and there's nothing wrong with that. But there is something wrong with buying and destroying companies solely to make a profit. That is negative economic behavior that has to be regulated, just like lying about your overseas bank accounts and shielding your assets from tax scrutiny should be regulated.
Oh, and even Mitt Romney doesn't believe Bain Capital created or saved any jobs.
